Things to do in Heraklion: culture and time outdoors
Knossos. The Minoan palace near Heraklion is associated with King Minos and the legend of the Labyrinth. Leave time to explore the archaeological site on foot.
Heraklion Archaeological Museum. Its collections span Cretan history from prehistory to the Roman period, with a particular focus on Minoan civilisation.
The old harbour and the city. Add a walk around the Koules area and time to enjoy Cretan food. Plan where to park, then continue on foot through pedestrian areas.

Airport, port or hotel?
The booking form lets you choose pickup and return locations separately. For a hotel, accommodation or another meeting point, select the exact map pin so the calculation uses your location.
Road transport is calculated from or to the TAKAS office for each direction. The summary uses the Server’s current rates. Choose your dates and review the breakdown before sending your request.
Request a booking in four steps

- Choose a vehicle, dates, one or two drivers, and pickup and return points.
- Read the current rental terms and review the itemised cost.
- Send your request. TAKAS confirms availability and your booking.
Sending a request does not charge you automatically. Deposit instructions become available after approval.
FREELANCER riders, delivery and courier work
Need a scooter for food delivery, parcel deliveries, courier work or other professional journeys? Select FREELANCER in the booking form. Review the corresponding rate and available equipment, such as a delivery box, before sending the request.
For monthly, annual or another long-term scooter rental, tell TAKAS the period and intended use. Availability, the appropriate vehicle and any special conditions are agreed separately.
Two drivers, one organised rental
Add a second driver and see the charge in the summary. Try the two-driver DEMO on our home page: one driver hands over, the other takes over, and the history records the date, time, mileage and fuel. Driver details and approval are completed by TAKAS before the rental.
